Reservoir Engineer

RESERVOIR ENGINEER

Our Client, a large oil and gas operator based in Calgary, is looking for a Reservoir Engineer to support development of their unconventional gas assets.

Responsibilities:

* Designing and coordinating data collection, data analysis, testing procedures, reservoir development and optimization (e.g. frac design and well spacing), special core analysis
* Leading technical work and field studies;
* Providing specialized support (e.g. reservoir simulations) when required
* Providing proactive training and mentoring for junior engineers
* Ensuring a consistent approach to reservoir development, through regular and effective communication with team members
* Hands-on experience in well test analysis, rate-transient analysis, material balance calculations, reservoir simulation, and economic analysis
* Ability to formulate and implement development strategies

Required:

* At least 15 years experience in an upstream Oil and Gas Engineering discipline
* At least 10 years Reservoir Engineering experience
* A minimum of 3 years shale gas Reservoir Engineering experience
* Practical experience in well test analysis, rate-transient analysis, material balance calculations, reservoir simulation, and economic analysis
* Ability to formulate and implement development strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to effectively interact with management and cross functional team members to advance projects and ideas
* Ability to manage conflicting ideas and goals in a respectful and constructive manner
* Ability to be influential without formal authority

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in a related field
