 
Our client is a global engineering and construction contractor and power equipment supplier and is looking to recruit a Senior Principle Materials Handling Engineer.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The Candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge in the field of Materials Handling as it applies to concept development, specification, evaluation, selection, and application of equipment used in the various Industry Segments noted.
The desired Candidate shall be able to demonstrate experience having a primary proficiency with all types and varieties of Materials Handling Equipment. Such experience must have been obtained while on projects with a Manufacturer or an Operating Company and from an Engineering / Construction Company where all phases of concept development, procurement and technical evaluations have been executed by the respective candidate.
Candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be adept at leading, organizing and motivating a group of engineers in meeting project and department deliverables and goals. Candidate shall be proficient in the use of MS-Word, Excel and powerpoint. Use of AutoCad is a Plus.
Candidate shall have self driven initiative to help add to the knowledge base of the department and mentor other engineers to further their command and understanding of Materials Handling and other skills.
This position is intended to be a core position within an existing group of experienced engineering professionals where stability, mutual respect, courtesy, and professional development are held in high regard by all. Professionals at this level are expected to be able to lead complex projects when needed but may also function in a pure equipment engineer role as well. While the Candidate may not have all of the described experience, it is vitally important that the successful candidate have broad Materials Handling experience and resume/CV to support the fact that they are indeed operating at the Senior Principal Engineering level.
The successful Candidate is expected to be capable of representing the Chief Materials Handling Engineer when absent.
EDUCATION
As a minimum, the candidate shall possess a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or other applicable degree field or other equivalent International Professional Degree. Any degree shall represent completion of a curriculum which is ABET accredited at the time of graduation. ABET = Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Candidate shall have a minimum of 15 years applicable and demonstrable experience in the various required attributes and qualifications listed below. Must have at least 5 years with a major Engineering/Construction Company.
