Job Description:

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides HR administrative support to Oxy HR Staff and various Oxy client groups
  • Complete tasks and projects in accordance with HR policies and procedures in support of various Oxy organizations and functional groups
  • Initiate changes in PeopleSoft for employee action and status changes (e.g. job & org changes, salary actions, transfers, etc.)
  • Create, audit, and update routine and ad hoc reports (Headcount, Recognition Award tracking, STD, FMLA and LOAs, etc.)
  • Maintain employee personnel files, online shared HR files, and other confidential files in compliance with Oxy requirements
  • Provide support for HR projects and activities including, but not limited to recruiting, DOT driver requirements, pre-employment background and drug/alcohol testing, STD/FMLA notifications and tracking
  • Maintain org charts for Oxy Intranet
  • Assist OES HR Team, on an as-needed basis, in support of programs, policies, communications, etc.
  • Answering phones, filing, ordering supplies, and arranging meetings
  • Other miscellaneous projects and duties, as requested or needed

 

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years HR administrative experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Customer-service focus; ability to interact professionally in a helpful, courteous, and professional manner
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Human Resources Management Systems
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job

 
Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Human Resources administrative experience supporting field operations in a multiple-state region
  • Human Resources experience supporting a DOT-regulated organization
  • Experience with PeopleSoft
  • Experience with iGrafix organization chart software
