With a diverse drilling and completions programme, ranging from onshore coal seam gas developments to offshore deepwater exploration, they are an energetic organisation with outstanding technical capability.
The Senior Drilling Engineer will provide engineering, design, planning and operational support to the onshore Drilling Projects within the Eastern Australia Business Unit. Your key deliverables will include:
• Review and/ or prepare budgetary cost estimates for projects, detailed cost estimates for operations, as well as daily costs and report potential over runs;
• Engineer, design and prepare Basis of Well Design, Drilling Programmes, and provide detailed equipment specifications;
• Prepare daily QC and Operations reports, as well as Final Well Reports for Drilling Phase of wells;
• Utilise system control tools to manage Risk Assessments and Management of Change;
• Recommend and coordinate technology advancements that improve safety, operational performance and wellbore quality; and
• Review, understand and take ownership of contracts relevant to Drilling operations, assisting with performing systems and workplace audits on selected suppliers, reporting on such audits and monitoring close out of action items.
You hold a relevant engineering degree with strong directional drilling experience and the expertise to add value to the engineering of high temperature (up to 470 degree Fahrenheit) and high pressure wells. You have proven success operating at the senior engineering level across drilling, logistics management, completions and production. And you hold strong knowledge of safe work practices as it relates to Oil and Gas technologies.
