 FMC Technologies, Inc. has an opening for an Engineer IV in Houston, Texas to work under the supervision of the Engineering Manager to create, review and approve designs, drawings, DBIs and specifications of existing or new technology or applications. Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering and 3 years experience applying knowledge of advanced laws, principles, theorems and mathematics or industry in the improvement and development of technologies; conceptualizing designs; performing project planning; applying knowledge of internal economic factors such as cost, margins and profit impact of decisions; utilizing CAD and database systems related to engineering functions such as AUTOCAD, MathCAD, and PDMS; applying knowledge of international codes/standards including ASME, API, ANSI and ASTM; performing piping stress analysis using piping software such as AutoPIPE or equivalent; preparing piping isometrics and P&ID; and designing piping and its fittings. Employer will also accept aBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering and 5 years of the required experience.
