The HSE Coordinator is a support role within our organization, reporting directly to the local WGPSN HSE Manager. This position will be based in Bakersfield, California and will require a strong commitment to safety and customer focus to our clients.

Responsibilities

Conducts crew site inspection to ensure safety and compliance on the following: (5 documents weekly)

  •  CAL-OSHA compliance
  •  PSN Requirements
  •  Client Requirements Facilitates and provides guidance in coaching and mentoring programs with all employees such as:
  •  BBS coaching and mentoring
  •  General coaching and mentoring
  •  S.P.I.D.E.R. coaching and mentoring

Maintains, organizes, and assists employees with daily observations requirements: Joint observations with other contractors Assist in new hire orientation as requested Initiates incident investigations related to accidents and dear misses such as:

  •  Incident/near miss response
  •  Notification to management
  •  Transporting injured employees to CVO (as needed)
  •  Info gathering and investigation
  •  Completing all appropriate paperwork
  •  Drug screen follow-up on corrective action to completion
  •  Write APO Facilitates, attends and participates in client safety meeting, and conducts safety orientation. Assist in the development, planning and preparation of training programs and ensures compliance. Initiates and maintains liaison with area supervisor and makes monthly job site inspections with them. Conducts field observations with client's HSE and is proactive in relationship development Maintains and facilitates all drug testing for WGPSN (DOT & Non-DOT)


Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Advanced knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Experience in OSHA and CAL-OSHA process and administration 5+ years of combined HSE and/or project related experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self motivator
