Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•  Engineering degree from an accredited college
•  6 years of experience in mechanical design
•  Strong understanding of manufacturing practices
•  Practical knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (Ansys or ABAQUS)
•  Practical knowledge of mechanical design (mechanics, kinematics and structural analysis)
•  Advanced knowledge of Dynamics and Vibration
•  Solidworks and ACAD knowledge
•  Excellent technical communication skills including proficiency in MS Office suite
•  Must be able and willing to travel, as required, to rigs and plant locations to inspect specific equipment installations, both onshore and offshore.
•  Ability to work with minimal supervision

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Design and develop new products
•  Modify and improve existing equipment
•  Perform strength, vibration, flow and thermal analysis of equipment and components
•  Advanced root cause analysis
•  Supervise testing of products
•  Technical leadership for designers and project engineers
•  Provide technical support to Sales
•  Check drawings created by drafters
•  Perform other related duties as prescribed by Manager
