Major Operator seeks to recruit an ESPG - Commissioning Engineer who has experience as a commissioning or operations engineer in the petrochemical industry. This role is based in Central Scotland and is offered on a contract basis.
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the commissioning engineer will be a key member of the project commissioning team, developing and implementing commissioning procedures and liaising with specialist vendors as required.
The successful candidate will focus on the mechanical commissioning scope, but with potential to extend the role to incorporate start-up and operations readiness activities to suit the post holder's experience and development needs, accountabilities will include but not be limited too; Developing commissioning procedures for the project scope, capturing input from other disciplines where necessary, Leading the implementation of the commissioning procedures both on site and in the module fabrication yard, Identifying requirements for specialist support services, developing scopes of work and act as focal point for vendors as required and will contribute to the development of the Inspection & Testing Plan, ensuring certification requirements are appropriately defined for commissioning scope. The candidate is required to have previous experience of writing commissioning or operating procedures and a relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
