Gathering Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage and Lead a team of gathering/water operators to achieve safe and optimal production
• Plan, lead, organise and monitor the operations function in an area and ensure
o Co-ordinated logistic support (transport, materials etc.) for well site production activities
o Quality of well heads and valves by a process of Inspection
o Material transfers are complete
o Information from wells and gathering systems is gathered on time and accurate
o Well site gathering system vegetation control and other general tidiness is of an acceptable standard
• Monitor all workplaces to determine presence of hazards and take appropriate action to rectify any hazards found
• Investigate all accidents/incidents/near misses within area of responsibility
• Drive improvements that result in a safer, more productive well aiming for a ratio in excess of 1 operator to 70 wells
• Ensure that monitoring of all maintenance of the gas field well sites to encourage the high availability of the wells to produce gas
• Maintain and manage maintenance registers and databases for utilities & ancillary equipment surrounding gas field well sites
• Provide advice and recommendations to the Operations Superintendent on gas field well sites, improvements in production and planned maintenance needs
• Ensure consumables and spares stock for gas well sites and equipment is maintained, tracked and procured to required levels
• Carry out design change implementation and participate in HAZOP reviews for such
• Develop preventative plans in relation to gas field well sites including regular gas detection testing around equipment
• Be fully conversant with emergency response plans and procedures
• Be available on call out for emergencies
• Carry out repair works as required by the CMMS or as directed by Maintenance or Operations Superintendents

Selection Criteria:
• Experience in the supervision and management of direct reports
• Experience in mentoring and developing team members
• Experience in a similar position within the oil and gas industry
• High pressure gas experience
• Previous accountability for undertaking discrete tasks without supervision desirable
• Trained and verified as competent to operate plant and equipment
• Experienced user of business IT systems
• Permit Authority Certificate
• Knowledge of hydrocarbon handling safety principles and practiced
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level interpersonal skills
• Computing skills - Microsoft Office
• Be fully knowledgeable of Facilities Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance to Gas Well Site and Pipeline Licence regulatory conditions
• Be conversant with Pipeline Standards AS2885
