Well Site Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure drilling operations are conducted in agreement with programmed instructions and good oilfield practice
• Sign-off contractor daily tickets, service company tickets, material delivery tickets, confirming that the tickets are accurate and in line with the contract under which the services or materials are supplied
• Provide advice on the suitability, from time to time, of the rig and other equipment to commence or continue to operate
• Implement the Drilling programs through liaison with Rig manager or Driller and crew at the daily tool box meeting
• Arrange trucking of materials, drilling water and drinking water in a timely manner
• Arrange for material transfers of equipment (drill bits, casing equipment and stationary) to and from rig and warehouse
• Ensure quality of drilling fluids and monitor fluid weights
• Ensure down hole and other equipment is correctly dressed and check shear ratings and record
• Ensure the correct tools for the job and they have been serviced or are of good quality. Do not allow the use of inferior equipment
• Provide quality control over equipment and materials utilized in the well. Record model and serial numbers
• Ensure that adequate quantities of materials and equipment are delivered to the well site as required for the operation


Selection Criteria:
• BOP ticket - supervisor level, international standard
• Cementing techniques
• Drilling / well servicing background
• Working knowledge of OHS Act, Petroleum and Gas Act
• Drilling or completion rig background
• Field operator Experience
• Current well control ticket - International Association of Drilling
• Knowledge of the OHS Act, Petroleum and Gas Act
• Work closely with contractors ensuring effective performance and expenditure control
• Effective people management skills
• Computer literate
• Installing and maintaining gas stationary engines for both natural gas and LPG
