Our Client - Is a large international Oil & Gas Contractor.
Job Description - As part of the Subsea Pre-commissioning Group, the Subsea Pre-commissioning Engineer will support tendering and/or project execution activities of the Deep Water Field Development.
The Subsea Pre-commissioning Engineer will work in a technical team under the responsibility of the Subsea-Pre- commissioning Lead Engineer or directly under the Project Engineering Manager or the Installation/Operation Manager depending of the project size, complexity and execution stage. The Subsea Pre-commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the execution of the subsea pre-commissioning tasks as required to meet the bid/project objectives and deadlines.
The tasks of the Subsea Pre-commissioning Engineer typically include and cover both the project and the bid assistance request:
Reporting to the Subsea Pre-commissioning Lead Engineer at all stages and/or to the Project Engineering
Manager at engineering stage and the Project Installation/Operation Manager at the installation stage.
Plan, co-ordination, control and preparation of technical and commercial proposals for subsea pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
Review the proposed design of all the incorporated items (valves, connectors, tees, pipes, bends) as well as the subsea structures design (pipeline termination end, manifold, inline tee, pig launcher and receiver) in order to guarantee their pre-commission-ability and their piggability during normal operation
Preparation of the pre-commissioning plan, method statement, specifications and requisitions for Sub- contracted services.
Review of the subsea structures fabrication procedures
Set-up of the mechanical completion management system following COMPANY's specification and implementation/management of this system during operations
Specification, follow-up of the procurement and mobilization, of the installation aids required for the pre-commissioning activities
Assistance to the Sub-contract Engineer during the Sub-contract tendering phase on all technical aspects:
review of the technical offers, issuance of tender bulletin and clarifications
Review and approval of the Sub-Contractors proposed list of equipment, instrumentation, consumables and personnel
Review and approval of the Sub-Contractors procedures and clarifications/qualifications
Co-ordinate the interfaces between Subcontractors equipment and the Saipem SA vessels
Co-ordination and supervision of the Sub-contractor mobilization, such as yard testing of Sub-contractors spread prior to its mobilization up to the mobilization of the spread on the installation vessel sea fastened.
Supervision of the pre-commissioning activities performed by the Pre-commissioning Sub-Contractor's team on site either on offshore/onshore facilities or on installation vessels.
Assistance to the Installation Manager for the operation schedule set-up and modifications
Attend meetings with Client regarding problems arising from pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
The Candidate - The areas of expertise of the Subsea Pre-commissioning Engineer are as follow:
Pipeline system flooding, cleaning, gauging, Calliper pigging and hydrostatic testing (from surface or subsea)
Pipeline system dewatering, drying and inerting
Pipeline system leak testing
Flexible annulus testing
Existing pipeline system de-commissioning or intelligent pigging
Umbilical testing from post load-out to post pull-in
Buoyancy tank force flooding and de-ballasting
Mechanical completion management software
Additionally to these areas, the Subsea Pre-commissioning Engineer could also be involved on the following activities:
FATs/EFATs (Factory Acceptance Testing and Extended Factory Acceptance Testing)
SITs (Site Integration Testing)
FPSO or platform hook-up activities
Flexible and umbilical pull-in activities
Bolting and tensioning activities
Specific Skills:
Good knowledge of International Standards for offshore pipeline design is preferable, notably:
DNVOS FIOI
ASME B31.3, .4 and .8
ASME VIII Div2
ISO 13628-5
APIRP 1110
API 17D & 171
Knowledge of planning, pipeline/umbilical installation and offshore operations are a plus.
Familiarity with the use of the following software is essential:
Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
Microsoft Project
Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in French or Portuguese is a plus.
In addition to substantial skills in the technical discipline, other key requirements are:
