 Talascend is currently seeking a Process Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Tulsa, OK.
Overview: This Staff Process and Treating Engineer position will support companies Process and Treating Equipment Division in pursuit of projects in Gas Midstream Industry Worldwide. The position is responsible for the identification and implementation of existing and new technologies as well as developing innovative work practices to strengthen the technical competitiveness of our operations. The Process Engineer will take a key role in process engineering during the design, installation, commissioning and start-up phase of projects. Additionally he or she will provide support for training and development of junior process engineering staff.
Responsibilities:
Works to solve problems as required delivering Process and Treating equipment on time and budget. Adds value to the project with ideas in support of Process and Treating project goals. Assist Project Managers and Engineers on problem areas with 3rd party equipment and service providers. Conduct feasibility and process and treating process studies for new business opportunities. Process design and evaluation by use of simulation tools (e. g. ASPEN, HYSIS) Participate in hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and safety review meetings Provide support during the installation, commissioning and operation of projects. Assist in the preparation of Operation Manuals / Equipment Documentation Process engineering work involving simulation and design of gas plants, equipment sizing, and preparing engineering documents. Development of steady state simulation applications of petrochemical plants and gas plants. Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFD�s) and Process and Utility Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) that diagrammatically depict all process piping. These diagrams include utility piping, auxiliary piping, and valving hydraulic circuits with location of all process vent and drain requirements for plant operations and all start-up, bypass, kick-back, relief valve, pump-out and auxiliary and utility circuits. Prepare hydraulic calculations process circuits to finalize pump, heat transfer equipment, PSV, flare header, depressurization, and compressor requirements as required. Prepare Line Design Table, equipment lists; tie in list, Process Flow Diagrams, Utility Summary, Battery Limit Summary, writing equipment specifications and creation of datasheets for various equipment. Contribute to the exchange of technical knowledge within the company wide engineering community Assist in the preparation of training and development programs for both junior and experienced staff
QUALIFICATIONS: Good communication skills in spoken and written English are required.
Education, knowledge and advanced skill level with HYSYS simulation software. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and particularly Microsoft Excel and Word. Chemical Engineering graduate with relevant professional experience in process engineering within the midstream gas industry or other comparable business Must be able to work effectively as part of a team, having excellent communication and motivating skills At least 10 years' experience related to gas process and treating.
