NC Programmer - Lafayette, LA

Halliburton’s new facility in Lafayette, Louisiana will manufacture complex machined components for oilfield service operations with state-of-the art manufacturing equipment, including numeric-controlled turning and milling equipment and additional value-added services, such as heat treatment, coating and other specialty operations. The facility will also have assembling operations and product testing operations performed before shipping components to oil and gas producers around the world.

This position is responsible for creating NC part programs used on numerically controlled production machines. Work performed requires application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Updates existing NC tapes per engineering change requests or manufacturing needs, creates family part master programs under the direction of PGL or more experienced programmer and establishes recall modules in order to standardize setup statements, tooling selection, machining speeds, etc. Makes recommendations in manufacturing methods and validates accuracy of programs prior to release of tapes to shop floor. Skills typically acquired through 2-4 years related NC Programming experience.

The primary machine that will require programming is a Mori Seki for our Liner Hanger division. Need to have experience programming large and long parts and deep boring.
