Job Description:
  •          Interpret and understand product specifications, data sheets, and customer requirements
  •          Research and secure information on materials required to develop new product designs
  •          Design new products and systems, and make changes to existing ones, to meet current and future customer requirements
  •          Prepare detailed sketches of new products and assist designers in developing drawings
  •          Generate Bills of Materials and Engineering Change Notices
  •          Generate test procedures and all necessary support documentation for product verification and validation
  •          Write design verification reports
  •          Liaise with multiple cross-functional teams such as vendors, manufacturing and testing to meet on time delivery objectives and goals
  •          Liaise with field service to address questions regarding product performance characteristics

Perform other duties as required by management

Desired Skills:

  •          BSME degree or other advanced engineering degree, or equivalent experience
  •          1-5 years of engineering experience
  •          Experience with 2-D and 3-D modeling software
  •          Experience with FEA software for running 3-D model analysis
  •          Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc…
  •          Excellent technical and written communication skills
  •          Excellent interpersonal skills
  •          Willingness to work with shop personnel to provide assistance
  •          Knowledge of Engineering standards and procedures
  •          Knowledge of and experience working in and around an ISO-Certified manufacturing plant and machine shop
  •          Knowledge of API 6A and 16A requirements as they pertain to wellhead drilling and production equipment
  •          Self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  •          Can work equally well individually or in a design team setting
  •          Ability to follow an R&D project from start to finish
