The Fire & Safety Engineer is responsible for the design of active and passive fire protection system, fire & gas detection system, safety & survival equipment location, philosophy and datasheet preparation, inquiry and purchase requisitions, bid tabulations, vendor documents review and coordination with 3rd party consultant for safety studies.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering or B.S. Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years experience in fire protection & safety engineering design work.
- Knowledgeable in PIPENET or HASS hydraulic calculation software, NFPA codes and standards, SOLAS, API, ABS and other internationally recognized codes and practices for fire protection & safety design.
- Experience on all of the above listed scope for offshore installations would be a plus but not required.
- Domestic and foreign travel, required as needed for the project execution.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills and can work with minimal supervision.
