Production & Surface Facilities Safety Specialist

Basic Function and Scope:

Lead the Production HSE team including the contractors HSE staff working for the production facilities and activities. Supervise and coordinate the production safety issues including the company's HSSE strategies, production HSSE plan and budget, the implementation of HSSE management system.

Tasks and Duties:

a.Technical advisor in leading the continued implementation of applicable production standards relating to risk Management, relevant strategies, policies, and procedures.

b.Participate in activities of various aspects of HSSE management systems; ensure compliance with applicable risk Management and HSE standards and requirements; and ensure that best practices are appropriate in the organization.
              
c.Develop a strong safety culture within the work force.

d.Activities may include inspections, assessments, safety meetings, risk identification, risk analysis, risk assessments, incident investigation, incident reporting, environmental issues and compliance.

e.Participate as an advisor and coach to field personnel who are on the production sites, workshops and work-related areas, and ensure that the activities are in accordance with industry standards.

f.Conduct audits; assist in development of audit protocols, manuals and audit-related checklists.

g.Assist in the development of company HSE procedures.

h.Roll out to company's personnel new procedures and systems and provide ongoing guidance.

i.Provide directions, leadership, data interpretation, and technical assistance to management and operations.

j.Conduct on site training and drills as applicable.

k.Develop training materials based on industry best practice, local legislation and company procedures

Minimum Requirements:

a.B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (in a related discipline preferred).

b.Minimum 8 years experience in safety or production field.

c.Communication and leadership skills

d.Understand production facilities & activities and their respective safety concerns and requirements.

e.Fluent in English.

f.Good knowledge of computer software applications
