Land Administrator

Summary:

This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Vice President-Land of private E&P company located in downtown Houston, Texas.

Position Description:

This position will be responsible for analyzing land contracts, land lease files, preparing leases, assignments and other associated contracts with VP-Land; internal correspondence and notification/tracking of proposals and AFE's, maintaining and updating internal reports and maps including GIS mapping; preparation of exploration agreements, assignments and related land contracts and maintenance of company division order files.

Experience Required:

A minimum of 3-5 years experience, relative to the position as described.  Field brokerage work considered a plus. Must have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of oil and gas leases, contracts and title curative, proven ability in prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines a must.  Excellent verbal and written skills; an ability to quickly establish and maintain relationships with land owners, other company representatives, etc. Demonstrate an ability to read, interpret, research and/or assist with contracts and legal instruments.
