Job Description:

WorleyParsons is a leading provider of professional services to the resources & energy sectors and complex process industries.  The US region of WorleyParsons has an immediate opening on a Mega project for an Engineering Manager UPM reporting to the Project Director UPM. The primary responsibility for the Engineering Manager is for the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all Engineering aspects of the work safely, with quality and within schedule and budget objectives.  The Engineering Manager will also ensure that the customer criteria and scope of work are being met by all persons.  This position requires heavy offshore & Topsides experience, and someone who has worked a mega project.

Specific responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include:

•Performing project or task management functions as delegated by the Project Director UPM, including customer liaison, coordination of technical meetings, and general project supervision and coordination.
•Assisting the Project Director UPM in the project initiation activities and in preparation of the Project Execution Plan.
•Leading the development of the schedule and budget establishment for the following works and report performance against budget and schedule, specifically during the EPC Detailed Design and Procurement stages
•Managing the above activities to ensure compliance with the Scope of Work and quality objectives of the project.
•Leading and coordinating all technical reviews both with stakeholders and internally within the project.
•Coordinating between engineering and procurement and between engineering and construction.
•Enforcing the management of project change process within the technical team.
  
Job Requirements

•BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience. Generally 10+ years experience in field; Typically 7+ years supervisory and/or management experience; Manages work directly or indirectly through Managers.
•Offshore experience a must.
•Manages multiple, related functional disciplines or a single highly specialized complex function; Develops and implements strategic programs and policies for their functional group, which will have impact on the overall organization; Complex project management capabilities; Works with executive management on significant matters influencing the organizations business results, which may or may not include global strategies;
•Ability to visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to functional area of expertise; Broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information.
•The ability to effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management is critical. Ability to persuade and influence others is critical. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach. Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and possibly multi-national environments. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Manages and directs through mid or senior level managers, supervisors, or advanced level professionals. Typically will interface with lower level personnel, executive management, customers, and outside vendors.
