Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY

The position has been created to ensure consistency accross the fleet and Quality assess the way the company's maritime standards and policies are applies offshore. It consists of on board assignments encompassing the evolution of the proactive cross-communication between the parties on board, the way the maritime operation risks are controlled and mitigated and how the vessel maritime performance is controlled and monitored on board.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•The candidate will bring in an external view and propose during his attendance on board, alteration and solutions in improving the vessel system by implementing learned lessons from incidents
•Specific projects assignments, such as support vessel operations simulators trainer, new builds commissioning, marine casualty investigation and system audits of shore based ship management companies will be part of your scope.
•The position has a functional reporting to the Party Manager and will report to both the respective Regional Maritime Manager where the vessel is located and to the Fleet Manager
•The on-board interaction with the officers and crew is a key element for a successful immersion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Excellent communications skills are essential
•Able to work as part of a team and steer the various maritime operation into good practice
•High sense of organization, rigorous
•Methodological approach in standardization mandatory
•At least 5 years of experience as Captain in the offshore industry, experience on seismic type vessels appreciated
•Master Certificate > 200 GT
•Fluent in English
•Computer skills required
•Audit and incident investigation experience is a plus
•Place of work : on board seismic vessel, with a usual time on board of approximately 3 weeks.
