Job Description:
|
 The Role:
A challenging opportunity for an experienced Operations Geologist (10+ years of experience in a Geological Operations Role) to work in support of our clients deep-water exploration and development operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily liaison with Operations Geologist in field as the primary interface between the Subsurface Team and in country Operations
- QC of field LWD, wireline and mudlog data in close collaboration with the project team
- Planning of FE programs and the preparation of geological operations documents in support of our appraisal drilling program in close collaboration with the project team
- Geological Operation input into any post-well reports
- Ability to support operations activities outside of standard work hours as required
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- BSc. degree in Geology
- 10+ years of active work experience as an Operations Geologist
- Knowledge of modern LWD and wireline logging tools, both the technology and best-practices for operations
- Knowledge of mud-logging technology, the acquisition and preservation of whole core and sidewall core, and the acquisition of samples in general
- Experience in the planning and execution of formation evaluation campaigns for operated wells, in collaboration with subsurface project teams, drilling and completions personnel and overseas field operations bases
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- A strong familiarity with Petrophysics interpretation principals is highly desirable
- Knowledge of and experience with pore pressure evaluation is highly desirable
- Deepwater operations and international experience is highly desirable
