-Location:Ho Chi Minh & Vung Tau, Vietnam
-Status:Contract, Single.
Trainor has two openings for experienced Onshore Pipeline Engineers and two openings for Offshore Pipeline Engineers with oil & gas experience. The qualified candidate will work alongside project managers, the engineering team, and with our clients to contribute to the technical/engineering aspects of upstream and midstream gas projects that include design, planning and project coordination.
Job Description:
Prepare the material take-off for the pipelines
• Hot induction bends.
• Riser Hanger Flanges.
• Tie-in and Subsea Flanges (if any).
• External coatings.
• Sacrificial anodes.
Prepare a set of pipeline engineering drawings as defined in the deliverables column.
• Pipeline Overall Field Layout.
• Pipeline Route Drawing.
• Pipeline Approach at respective platforms/PLEM.
• Pipeline Bend Details.
• Pipeline Sacrificial Anode Details.
• Pipeline and Riser Coating Details.
• Pipeline Field Joint Coating Details.
• Riser General Arrangements.
• Expansion Spool General Arrangements (if any).
• Pipeline or Subsea Cable Crossing Details (if any).
Prepare a set of Pipeline Material Specifications or addenda to existing specifications, required for Client purchase, as follows:
• Line Pipe, Pipeline Bends.
• Pipeline Flanges.
• Tie-in and Subsea Flanges.
• Pipeline Fittings.
• Pipeline & Riser External Coating(s).
• Pipeline Thermal Coating for Linepipe.
• Concrete Weight Coating for Linepipe.
• Sacrificial Anodes.
• Field Joint Coatings.
Perform pipe span analysis that include static and vortex shedding vibrations (in-line and cross flow) criteria for the following pipeline conditions:
• Installation Condition.
• Operating Condition.
• Hydrotest Condition.
Perform pipeline end expansion analysis for the pipelines under the following conditions:
• Installation Condition.
• Operating Condition.
• Hydrotest Condition.
The following activities are required to be considered:
• Perform Qualitative risk assessment study for the pipeline and riser system.
• Drop object and anchor drag study.
• Establish requirements for mechanical protection.
Discuss the feasibility of various installation methodologies that can be applied to the installation activity.
Salary Package Includes:
• Day rate in Net USD
• Accommodation
• Travel to and from work
• 2x return airfares home
• 2 weeks leave for each 6 months worked
• The added advantage that living costs in Vietnam are quite low.
