Materials Manager

Major Operator seeks to recruit a Materials Manager with previous experience within the oil and gas industry. This role is based in Aberdeen and is offered on a contract basis.

The post holder will develop a Materials Management Strategy and Resource Plan and implement the Operators core processes to standardise and control the movement of materials at every stage in the supply chain including taking responsibility for improving the control of inventory offshore by working with the OIM?s to develop a culture of care for materials on each platform and manage the work of the platform Materials Controllers and provide guidance through coaching and training.

The successful candidate will be educated to graduate level and have experience in successfully managing an operations team and a good understanding and working knowledge of supply chain systems and processes including experience of using Maximo/SAP or similar MRP systems and an understanding of materials master data management.
