Safety & Training Supervisor

Position Qualifications:

• Knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry
• Ability to interact with groups and operations, recognize and resolve conflict
• One year of experience on an offshore installation
• Experience and overall qualities of a team leader
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Essential Functions:

• Monitor and observe rig operations ensuring conformance to policies and procedures and  safe working practices
• Plan and facilitate weekly HSE meetings
• Facilitate the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) process
• Review STOP cards onboard and ensure effectiveness of the STOP program
• Participate in pre-job planning activities for high exposure potential operations
• Mitigate hazardous conditions observed onboard as required
• Perform rig HSE audits and inspections
• Assume a leadership role in mentoring and coaching crew members regarding HSE policy and procedure requirements
• Perform required onboard HSE training
• Ensure that HSE training requirements are communicated to crew members
• Orientation of personnel boarding in accordance with policies and procedures
• Attend pre-tour meetings and provide HSE input and feedback
• Ensure HSE critical equipment is properly maintained
• Produce a daily plan of activities based on ongoing rig operations
