 Our client, a major oil and gas Operating Company, is in need of a qualified Piping Designer to work in their North Lousiana production office.
Details of the role are as follows:
Position: Designer
Experience: 10 years
Location: North Louisiana (Magnolia), Mansfield, LA
Start date: June 4, 2011
Length of contract: 2 years
Job Scope: As-built P&Ids, PFDs Layout and Corrision Iso's for existing gas production facility. Candidate will be on-site with customer and be liaison to drafting group in Houston. Some trips to production sites for walk downs and some travel to Houston for training, possible. Managing a current hard copy set of critical documents for the site is critical to the success of this position.
Requirements: Potential candidate should have a strong piping background and posses the ability to:
Prepare P&IDs and Plot Plans from engineering concepts.
Knowledge of Gas processing facility including utility systems.
Working knowledge of process piping design, plumbing and piping codes (ANSI, OSHA 1910, API codes and standards).
Knowledge of process piping symbology a must.
Knowledge of ISA symbology desirable.
Ability to walk-down gas processing site.
Software: Qualified candidate must possess a full working knowledge of AutoCAD 2009 commensurate with experience. Drawing file management requires use of Windows Explorer and Livelink. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook and Word is also desirable. Good writing and communications skills required to effectively working in a team based environment.
