JOB SCOPE
Coordinates and assists the Quality System, corrective actions, reliability and failure analysis, operations procedures and Total Quality Management Program within the Business Unit. Coordinates each district within the business unit on policies and procedures within the EEP and QMS systems. Coordinates and assists in activities of the failure review teams as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Record test data, applying quality control procedures.
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Develop knowledge of inspection skills.
Aid in the maintenance of the traceable product program.
Review of Material Certifications, Material Test Reports, Certificate of Conformance, Data Reports, against relevant WFT standards and specification, and PO requirements.
Inspect process and paperwork of the final assembly to ensure procedural standards are being followed.
Inspecting incoming products for dimensional, traceability, and material conformance.
Calibration of shop calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments using Gage-Trak software.
Generate Non-Conformance Reports as well as other internal departmental report.
Perform last look inspection of shipmentand fit-testing of product required to be interfaced with other equipmentto insure shipments are correct.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
Qualifications
Good verbal communication skills.
Experience or certification with NDT inspection methods is preferred (e.g. MT, PT).
Ability to read, understand and interpret Drawings, Material Certifications, Material Test Reports, Certificate of Conformance, Data Reports, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
Ability to follow oral instructions.
Ability to read common measuring devices; tapes, micrometers, calipers, Brinell hardness number, Rockwell B/C hardness etc.
Ability to discern the best and most accurate method to dimensionally inspect components.
Must be able to work closely with fellow employees and other department to achieve company goals.
Experience working with industry standard manufacturing and process specifications (e.g. work orders, paint specifications).
Participate and adapt successfully in a team environment.
Experienced with MS Office products and computer system (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to drive closer to quality issues including follow up and resolution in a timely manner.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Working knowledge of API 6A relating to Wellhead equipment.
Working knowledge of Wellhead equipment (e.g. Casing/Tubing Head, Adapters, High Pressure Gate Valves, etc.)
Working knowledge of Quality Management System (ISO 9001, API Q1).
