Job Description:
A Talascend client in Houston, TX has an immediate need for a Sr. Operations Coordinator.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

Five (5) years experience in offshore construction coordinating/administering in an operations environment.

Four (4) year college degree preferred (Business or similar).

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to prepare and organize training plans.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrates initiative and the ability to multi task.

Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, Adobe Acrobat.

An understanding of planning software preferably MS Project, Primavera 3 or Janus.

Strong administrative background.
Summary of responsibilities:

Work closely with & reports to the Business unit Operations Manager or Vessel Operations Manager with regards to daily office & offshore operations for all projects.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Supports management, projects and offshore operations.
Supports management to promote safe working practices.
Manage and work with third party companies for necessary services offshore.
Coordinates with management, TMOS, offshore engineers and support services.
Coordinates necessary travel arrangements and transport as needed.
Coordinates vessel crew changes including procurement of helicopters, personnel logistics, transportation, hotel reservations, customs clearance and reviewing invoices.
Support and facilitate the Operations Assurance/Review Process, invoice issues and cost impacts.
Maintain, update, control access to the business unit web page and ensure information is in compliance with corporate policy.
Works with administration for all necessary requests, invoicing, distribution and management of vessel DPR€?s and day to day operation requirements.
Coordinates with the department Cost Controller to ensure POs/invoices for vessels and other operational services are in place, and the costs are distributed to projects.
Coordinate daily meetings with site management and vessels in relation to project operational activities
Source offshore personnel needed for business unit projects and have continued dialogue with the project requirement.
Oversee, coordinate and assist special projects as required.
