 Position Description
As a Project Manager - EPC your initial assignment will be based in Houston, TX; (approx 6-12 months). Your assignment may then move to an overseas location (Africa, Middle East, Australia) for remainder of project (3-4 years). You will manage a medium-sized Refinery, Petrochemical, or LNG EPC project component having a total contract value in excess of $250 million. You will lead and manage safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success. You will deliver expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance and assures the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company, and manage and coordinate activities of an average of 200+ assigned project personnel by direct supervision or through subordinates. To be successful you need to understand the precise scope of work and identifies changes between the original contract and on-going work. You will be responsible for negotiating changes with the client, as well as plan the project execution, revising the plan as necessary, and assures adherence to the plan. We will be responsible for keeping the client and company advised of project status. You will lead the assigned portion of the project management team and is responsible for the successful completion of the assigned component of the project, while abiding by KBR business ethics. This assignment has budgetary-type accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in degree in Engineering, advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Refinery, Petrochemical, or LNG related large projects (excess of $250M), which includes project management experience
- Experience managing and coordinating activities of an average of 200+ assigned project personnel needed
- Willingness to accept an unaccompanied project assignment to Africa or Middle East; or unaccompanied/accompanied assignment to Australia required
- PMI PMP certification desirable (not required)
- Professional Engineer (P.E) license, highly preferred
