The successful candidate will provide support services to Western Region operating and maintenance personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Company's plant and facilities to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide positive leadership and coaching to staff in order to maximize their potential and capability.
Ensure technical support (engineering, cathodic protection, PLC, etc.) is provided to operation and maintenance personnel as required.
Provide emergency response leadership and technical support as required including on-call activities.
Develop and execute Western Region Capital and Operating Budgets.
Liaison with LP Development Engineering and LP Engineering (Core) in the development and execution of Western Region sponsored projects to ensure that the project objectives are met.
Work with Regulatory Law & Public Affairs, Pipeline Compliance and Environment to liaison with municipalities and regulatory authorities to ensure good working relationships and compliance to applicable regulations.
Ensure company procedures, policies and standards are followed. Ensure that the appropriate changes are made to these documents as required.
Support Operational staff in working with Business Development, Shipper Services, CCO and Facility Development to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Provide representation on applicable internal committees (i.e. Leak Reduction Team, Regional Service Technical Committee).
Support new business and project development activities within the region.
Provide direct support to the Manager, Regional Services and Development.
Qualifications:
Professional Engineer or Post Secondary Education (diploma or certificate in a related discipline).
Minimum of ten (10) years oil or pipeline related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience in Pipeline Operations an asset.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
