Production Services is a global leader in well servicing innovation and takes pride in having delivered quality service to our clients over the past 30 years. Our extensive fleet consists of 129 rigs, and operates out of bases in Grande Prairie, Whitecourt, Acheson, Cold Lake, Lloydminster, Blackfalds and Drayton Valley, serving Alberta, Saskatchewan, B.C. and the NWT.
Reporting To:
Vice President, Operations - Production Services
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Operations
•Providing direction to Operations Coordinators to ensure that regulatory compliance matters are handled in a consistent manner
•Assisting in the development of the annual capital budget
•Providing guidance regarding safety / operational issues. Involves proactively strategizing solutions in conjunction with the Loss Prevention Team and direct reports to reduce Field / Operational related hazards
•Accountable for annual safety performance and metrics in operational region
•Support and meet all transportation regulations and compliance requirements
Finance
•Overseeing monthly rig financial reports for anomalies / reviewing cost effectiveness of rig budgets. Involves determining the drivers of the budget inaccuracies / anomalies and providing follow-up coaching as required
•Ensure implementation of company operational strategies through the execution of action plans which include multi-year strategic and tactical plans for operational effectiveness, and operational growth
•Partner with all divisional departments to execute performance and profit objectives through the building and managing of client relationships
•Implement the annual management plan, stewarding to established key performance indicators
•Manage and monitor annual Operations Budget throughout the year to ensure actual track to budget as well as align with divisional / corporate spending policies
Market
•Ensure client satisfaction through developing / maintaining relationships with clients
•Work with Marketing Team to develop pricing in order to enhance gross margin dollars and EBITDA
•Strategizing methods to develop internal innovation and external growth with a focus on long term sustainability of the business; Involves visioning continuous improvement opportunities/ strategically researching viability and implementation of plans
•Providing dedicated high-level organizational support to meet the needs of contractual clients
Team
•Coach, mentor, develop, and raise the team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations and create opportunities for succession
•Operational accountability for district including staffing, performance and development of staff
•Work with cross functional teams to ensure people, systems, policies and processes support safe, profit driven operations
•Provide business advisory services to all teams
•Coordinate discussions with each direct report regarding SMBO setting, performance reviews, career development planning and incentive/salary administration
Execution Excellence
•Maximize utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors; Pursue lowest cost alternatives
•Partner with other divisions to provide consistency and to ensure the use of best practices throughout the organization
•Enable business performance through development and refinement of tools, processes and practices
•Suggest improvements to internal process and policies
•Lead improvement of operational processes by identifying and assessing ineffective business practices in order to improve productivity benefiting the division and the total business
