Job Description:
|
 Job Purpose: Develops computer control software for the drilling system, and performs maintenance and enhancement of various existing software.
• Participates in the software development, testing, release and maintenance of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Following company procedures, develops well structured, documented and maintainable code which meets system requirements.
• Participates in the complete software testing process including test specification development, unit testing, system testing and verification to ensure software quality and conformance to requirements.
• Collaborates with technical writer to create customer-relevant documentation.
• Assists in the support and maintenance of existing software systems in the field.
Minimum qualifications and background required to fill this position:
• Educational Background Minimum: BS in Computer Science / Engineering.
• Specific Skills: Structured and/or object oriented programming, problem solving, organizational, and communication and documentation skills. Aptitude to quickly learn new technologies and software applications. Ability to work effectively (maintaining accuracy) under tight timelines and schedules. Fully competent using MS Office applications. Some travel required.
• Programming Languages/Tools: Must have performed software development using either C# or C++, software development using Visual Studio .NET desired. Knowledge of Access DB, SQL Server will be a plus.
