Our Chattanooga, TN client is in need of a Quality Assurance Manager.
Summary:
This position provides leadership to adherence and development of quality policies and procedures. Functions independently with occasional guidance from supervisor.
Essential Functions:
Maintain Quality program in compliance with ASME Section III Federal requirements of 10CFR 50 Appendix B. and 10CFR 21 including QA manual, document control of SC policies and procedures, and quality records.
Performs administrative duties and supervises assigned personnel in the functional areas of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, including administration of Training and Qualification programs for the SC.
Administer nonconformance and corrective action programs.
Interface in quality related subjects with both vendors and customers as needed.
Budgets and manages Quality Assurance cost.
Develops and maintains essential management reports in accordance in company specification.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include management of coworkers' duties, document control, management of projects, compliance with established programs, generation of management reports, interviewing, hiring, and training coworkers, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining coworkers, addressing complaints and resolving problems
Qualifications:
BSME degree required and combination of equivalent technical degree and years of service will be considered.
Minimum of 3 years management experience in the Nuclear Quality field required.
Knowledgeable in the areas of industrial standards and quality standards; ASME Code; ASTM; current federal requirement for nuclear industry.
Proficiency in Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing disciplines preferred.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Demonstrated computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Excel, and Word required.
All aspects of SAP strongly preferred.
