Senior Geologist

Assist company in subsurface-based exploration and exploitation of their current (and growing) mid-continent assets. Outcomes:

1. Assist in the flawless execution of  2012 Characterization and Development plans:
a. Generate or otherwise characterize Plan to Prospect-level opportunities
b. Integrate a vast array of data including, petrophysical, seismic, rock mechanics, geochem, and subsurface data
c. Monitor rig and logging activities
d. Assist with geo-steering horizontal wells and with training lesser experienced staff to accomplish this task.

Leadership:

a. Geoscientist should have the ability to lead development and characterization activities.
b. The ability for staff to rotate among various assets and experience and array of opportunities is certainly a possibility, if not a preferred career development plan.

Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills are expected of the candidate. A demonstrated track record of successfully integrating geological and geophysical data in a way that results in increased Production, Reserve Additions, and financial Growth is a must. Specific software experience in Petra, SMT, Integrated Petrophysics, and Spotfire is a plus. Familiarity with all MS Office products. An understanding of unconventional and conventional petroleum systems is also a must.

Competencies:

Geoscience Skills and Education
a. Petroleum Specific education is a desired but not required
b. Geology or Geophysical background is acceptable

Education Qualifications Desired: MS  Geology or Geophysics

Amount and Type of Experience Desired: 5-15 yrs.
