Petrophysicist

Major Operator seeks to recruit a Petrophysicist with experience in conventional and special core analysis and of Russian Logs. This role is based in London with some travel to Russia and is offered on a contract basis.

As a member of integrated subsurface team the post holder will be accountable for Petrophysical analyses of open hole log and core data which includes reconciliation / calibration of appraisal wells with comprehensive suites of logs and development wells with basic set of Russian logs together with development of log and capillary based saturation height functions and interpret PLT data with focus on inflow profiles and water movement.

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and educated to BSC level or higher in either Geology, Engineering or related science subject together with a sound technical background and working knowledge of other disciplines (geology, geophysics and reservoir engineering). Experience of reserve determinations, re-determination and unitization would be an advantage as would the ability to speak/understand Russian.
