Job Description:
ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW
Repair and troubleshoot all Calfrac equipment onsite and in the field, specifically electrical, electronic, and computer-based systems and equipment. This is a full-time position based in Williston, North Dakota, and does require the employee to LIVE in the Williston are (no rotational applicants accepted). Calfrac will provide relocation and housing assistance to the right applicant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Repair and maintain all Calfrac oil field equipment on site, which includes:

•Electrical and electronic systems
•Recording and control software
•Assist mechanical technicians in repairing electrical problems
•Updates and modification requests
•Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis
•Identify problem areas
•Assist in making remedial action plans
•Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs

Maintain electrical and electronic parts inventory levels, which includes:

•Ordering of new electrical parts
•Shipping and receiving of electrical parts out for repair
•Training of maintenance and operations personnel on electrical systems and control software and hardware

District Radiation safety officer (may or may not be required), duties include:

•Maintain radiation files
•Perform monthly inspections of gauges
•Gauge maintenance and repair

Develop a base understanding of fracturing, coiled tubing and cementing operations.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

•Oil and gas field experience preferred, but not required
•Multimeter experience a must
•Extensive field troubleshooting experience required
•Must have a mechanical aptitude
•Technical training diploma or certificate in electronics recommended
•3+ years of experience  
•Knowledge of electronic control systems and QA-QC
•Must be self motivated and have good computer and communications skills
•Overtime opportunities are built into the weekly schedule


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Frequent lifting (up to 70 lbs)
• Frequent bending, twisting, and standing
• Exposure to working outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, dust, dirt, noise)
