PSCM Category Specialist

Major Operator seeks to recruit a PSCM Category Specialist with previous experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) and have Subsea and/or logistics/marine experience. This role is based in Aberdeen and is offered on a contract basis for a period of 9 -12 months with options to extend.

Reporting directly to the PSCM Category Lead, the Category Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all relevant Category Management activities are underpinned by an appropriate commercial arrangement, in relation to the relevant categories, and that the business is optimising the use of the Contracts including providing post-contract support and advise on PSCM issues and undertake specific commercial exercises (tenders) to underpin operations spend.

The successful candidate will have experience in drafting and executing contract terms together with experience in post-contract management and risk/claims mitigation activity and the ability to negotiate contractual and commercial terms with suppliers. Previous oil and gas industry experience and a business related degree or higher qualification is desirable.
