JOB SCOPE
Assist with implementing and maintaining an effective quality management system and acts as interface between the customer and various departments throughout the facilities in order to meet customer specific requirements. He/she will also be the focal point in implementing continuous improvement program and support QA/QC functions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the ISO/API and Weatherford Quality Management System.
Follow all Weatherford safety rules and requirements
Work closely with QC receiving inspection and purchasing group. Manage and improve supplier quality; review, implement, and improve receiving inspection dock to stock program.
Assist QC technician in NCR follow up.
Work closely with manufacturing, identify opportunity for improvement and follow up on CPAR to reduce scrap and process variation.
Initiate or participate in investigations into root causes or potential causes of failure.
Follow up on supplier CAR; audit key suppliers as necessary.
Assist QA in internal audit.
Work closely with product engineering and manufacturing on the introduction of new product.
Complete assigned quality improvement project assigned by QA manager.
Provide Quality advice and input to questionnaires, pre-qualifications, tenders and contracts
Relate with all departments internally and externally as necessary to maintain and enhance the Company's reputation for Quality.
Increase the Quality awareness of all employees and insure that all subcontractors and suppliers are aware of our requirements.
Produce a monthly report to Management as necessary
Identify and recommend any changes or innovations to policy, procedures, training and organization to further the Company's goals to be leaders in reliability

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Essential
Team player and self starter
3+ years experience with manufacturing company in a position of Quality Assurance
ISO 9001 QMS internal audit training/certification, proficiency in formal auditing techniques
Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles
Background knowledge and skills in ISO 9000 Standards, API Spec. Q1 and Statistical Process Training control and implementation
Computer literate, knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good communication and skills both verbally and in writing to all levels within the Company, customers and external agencies
Understand NDE (LP, MP, and UT) basic.
Experience of managing calibration program
Presentation skills enabling effective demonstration of concepts, findings and recommendations to management, Customers, external agencies and auditors
Experience with varies of measuring and testing equipment including Faro Arm and CMM
Skills in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

Preferred
Knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, G R&R, process flow map, and control plan.
Knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as SPC, Cpk, Ppk, ANOVA, and pareto
Experience in process improvement
Bilingual in Chinese or Spanish a plus, but not required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
4 years engineering or technical degree

Preferred
Three years of experience in quality assurance with oilfield product manufacturing company.
ASQ CQE and/or CQA

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Be able to travel 10% or less on short notice
