Velosi seeks to employ Rig Auditors/Inspectors both permanent and temporary in support of our global services provided to clients.
In support of global services provided to clients, the company responds to specific audit requests relating to onshore and offshore drilling rigs, including assurance audits and rig acceptance audits. The work will involve assessing drilling operations, equipment and practices on oil drilling and workover rigs against standards, documenting deficiencies and communicating findings to clients.
Roles will focus on the practices and processes related to Safety Critical Equipment, Rig maintenance, Rig inspection, Rig integrity, Drilling Equipment, Electrical Equipment & Power Systems, Well Control equipment, accommodation facilities and environmental compliance both offshore and onshore.
Verify that standards are being complied with in all areas of Rig Integrity.
Report on compliance of operating systems and verify certification in accordance with international practices, API, IADC, MODU and client requirements.
Report on condition of equipment and structures.
Report on Rig safety systems and SOLAS
Make technical recommendations for rectification/compliance.
Provide technical support for the implementation of standards related to Rig Integrity.
Witnessing Rig modifications and upgrades.
Witnessing Rig Commissioning and Start-up.
Broad based experience in drilling operations and practices, rig construction and safety systems in relation to rig integrity.
Industry standards, API/IADC/LOLER and planned maintenance systems.
Minimum 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
Knowledge of, or certification in, NDE inspection methods
Auditing certification from a recognised body.
A demonstrable technical audit, safety audit or general auditing track record as an audit team leader will be an advantage.
Good analytical skills and can clarify key issues in complex and ambiguous situations.
Ability to overcome obstacles and barriers to ensure timely delivery of project work.
Takes responsibility for achieving results.
Proficiency in both Oral & Written English
Knowledge of IMO vessel classification for MODUs'
Knowledge of different types of drilling rigs and MODUs'
Knowledge of standards and practices related to drillings rigs, API, IADC, LOLER etc.
Knowledge of planning & executing rig upgrades
Understanding of QHSE requirements
Knowledge of NDE inspection methods
Commitment to the delivery of safe and compliant rigs.
Partnership and Teamwork
Preparation of presentations to clients
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite
