Job Description:

Summary of Role:
To work closely with team members to properly administer health care services as required to ensure continuous and safe function of the project.
You are the primary responder for all medical emergencies on site.

Area of Responsibility:
The industrial medic plays a primary on-site role for immediate response to any injuries or illnesses that occur on the job site. It would be the Medic's responsibility to determine the severity of the injury and to either treat and release or evacuate the patient to a higher level of medical care as required. All actions will be followed up with appropriate documentation, and attention to detail is imperative.
Provide routine and emergency assessment and care, emergency medical response instruction, promote health, safety and hygiene initiatives, medical record keeping and general administration duties.

Skills and Qualifications
All candidates must hold a current designation as a PCP or EMT in the province they would be commencing work in.
Sound interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential. Additional skills include; computer literacy, technical writing and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have high standards of fitness and a proven emergency medical and trauma care background.
Flexible availability and willingness to work on a rotational basis are assets.

Experience
Industrial experience in Oil & Gas or Construction is preferred with proven emergency medical and trauma care background.
Previous experience delivering remote industrial medical care is an asset.
Our medics are team players, with an outgoing attitude and an ability to provide routine and emergency assessment and care, emergency medical response/first aid instruction, promote health, safety and hygiene initiatives and provide general administration duties.
