 WTS Energy is seeking to hire Field Engineer for one of its client who is an international reputed Oil & Gas operating company. Filed Engineer will identify , propose and implement facilities improvements & upgrades and supervise work execution by engineering services contractors to ensure that all deliveribels on asssigned projects are delivered safely, within budget on shedule and of the desired quality whilst at the same time provide his/her discipline expertise to the Asset Engineeering team.
The responsibilities of Field Engineer include but are not limited to the following:
-Assist the Asset team to identify and propose facilities improvements and upgrades
-Provide dicipline expertise to the Asset Engineering Team
-Prepare scope of work and where applicatble initiate for the proposal to progress through the Management of change (MOC) process
-Prepare project execution plan and cost estimate
-Assist in the preparation of tender or service order documents, e.g. preparation of contract scope of work & pricing schedule and evaluate tenders
-Evaluate service order proposals from service contractors
-Supervise the engineering service contractor to deliver the service safely at the agreed cost and time and of the desired quality
-Assist with the induction and on boarding of new contractor staff
-Provide assistance in the administration of the project change procedure and review third party estimates for changes
-Participate in any negotiations and resolution of disputes with Contractors
-Verify Contractor's work Progress to facilitate invoicing/Payment
-Control all work in his/her area of accountability through the implementation and compliance with the permit to work process so as to prevent any unduew risks or unsafe conditions/acts
-Adhere to and promote the health, safety and environmental procedures to ensure own safety, safety of personnel of process plant and the environment
-Conduct Toolbox talks with work crews with emphasis on hazard assessment and mitigation requirements
-Ensure that the engineering service contractors deliver the services safely at the agreed cost and time and of the desired quality
Comply with the MOC process
-Ensure that any proposed change to the work have been evaluated for its HSSE , Cost and schedule impacts and approval has been obtained prioe to implementation
-Promote Organisation's HSSE Culture and Life saving rules (LSR) to local contractors and their staff
-Maintain a flexible and positive attitude, especially with regard to the working environment and highly focussed safety and scurity procedures.
Requirements:
-Field Engineer will have a Mechanical or Control & Automation (C & A) engineer with a minimum of 10 years Oil & Gas related experience of which a minimum of 5 years shall have been in the specific discipline in the operations & maintenance of Oil & Gas facilities and/or project execution. Experience in project engineering/managment is an advantage
Mechanical engineering degree or Electrical/Electronics/equivalent engineering degree through which the applicant has progressed to become a C & A engineer
-Experience in the technical evaluation and cost estimating for facilities options
-Ability to work in a team and with people from different cultural backgrounds is essential
-Fluent in English language (spoken & Written)
-Strong preference for an Arabic speaker
-Middle east experience is preferred
-Must be competent in own discipline in the operations & maintenance of Oil & Gas facilities and/or project execution.
Remarks:
-Work Scedule: 28/28 rotation
-Duration: one year contract initially
-Reports to Facilities/Infrastructure Engineer
