Job Description:
Provide leadership to hourly inventory personnel to compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.

Make assignments for employees assigned to the preparation of the inventory department.

Count material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records.

Verify record computations against physical count of inventory and adjust errors in computation or count, or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.

Compare inventories to office records, or compute figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.

Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and compute inventory balance, price, and cost.

Prepare reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.

Prepare list of depleted items and recommend survey of defective or unusable items.

May operate various office machines.

Record and maintain accurate movement and location records for all inventory items purchased and produced.

Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.

Maintain daily schedule of audits and track product movement within the warehouse.

Track recyclable materials and provide administrative backup support.

Help maintain inventory accuracy for the warehouse.

Communicate inventory issues.

Review work of others through standard reports, activity logs, and task requests; assess quality and address any associated issues.

Generate inventory-related reports - both standard and by special request.

Interact with Purchasing Department in regard to purchase orders, quantities, and dates received.

Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as part of daily activities; must be able to obtain forklift certification.

May stock and issue materials or merchandise.

Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material.  Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.
