 Talascend has an immediate need for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician in Glendale, Arizona Job Duties include:Providing direct support and compliance of the Safety program.Assisting with office housekeeping, storage, supply inventory and copy paper distribution.Office moves, leasehold improvements, general housekeeping, ergonomic assessments and solutions. Provides and supports food services management.Performs communications and messenger services. Responds to maintenance requests on office equipment and other miscellaneous environmental support.Interfaces with vendors to obtain price, proposal and services. Assists with conference room planning, new hire packets, conference room set up and travel.Facilities and Safety related records keeping.Manages storage, space allocation, and procurement of first aid and coffee/tea supplies.Furniture and equipment purchase and installation, and miscellaneous services.Conducts daily facility walkthroughs, identifies issues and works to resolve. Verifies operation of equipment , organization of space and safety of occupants. Interfaces with all vendors performing work on site at the facility to ensure work performed is compliant with the client's safety and insurance standards. Coordinates the Maricopa County Trip Reduction Plan and encourages employee participation. Maintains all TRP records to meet audit requirements. Participates in the maintenance and upkeep of the department SharePoint sites. Responsible for daily administration, training and upkeep of the office Environmental Safety and Health Program including maintenance of the Building Evacuation Plan and designation and training of Emergency Response team members. Perform a variety of other administrative duties or special assignments as requested. Assists with training new hires to the team, updating written procedures and orientation materials.Basic Qualifications:High school diploma One or more years of facilities support experienceAbility to work and remain in the US without sponsorship. Intermediate MS office & Outlook skills and proven ability to log and work with metrics and charts to develop monthly reports. Basic SharePoint skills.Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills with strong presentation skillsAble to provide a high level of proactive client service and interact with employees at all levels of the organization.Able to lift up to 50 pounds, push carts, and stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time.Preferred Qualifications:Strong organizational skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team environmentKnowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance strongly preferredWorking knowledge of developing written procedures and maintaining safety plansAbility to work with employees and vendors, troubleshoot issues an offer solid business resolution to problemsAbility to multi-task and adapt to changes as priorities shift to include frequent interruptions and tight deadlinesAbility to analyze new and changing scenarios and adapt the project to themAbility to thrive within an environment that relies heavily on teamwork.Current CPR Certification
