Role Synopsis
The Well Integrity Engineer reports to the Well Integrity Team Leader. The role will develop and implement the Well Integrity Standard for all existing and future well stock, covering production, injection, source & disposal wells, both active & inactive. The term well integrity covers construction, handover, operations, interventions and suspension / abandonment.
Key Accountabilities
Key roles and responsibilities include:
o Implement the Well Integrity Policy / Standard, Management System and associated procedures:
„X Handover procedure
„X Critical operating procedures
„X Tree & wellhead inspection & maintenance
„X Annulus monitoring
„X Corrosion & erosion monitoring
„X Well integrity tracking system for well inventory
o Risks assessment of well stock to prioritise work plan
o Ensure application of international standards (API, ISO) and best practice as appropriate
o Interface with client and client companies to apply organisational polices and learnings
o Interface with all stakeholders (wells, production operations, HSSE, reservoir (PEs)).
o Delivery of systems, process and contracts to support management of well integrity
o Lead by example with a strong commitment to HSSE.
o Ensure contractor assurance to international standards by being part of audit teams
o Performance manage well integrity using KPI
o Point of contact for all well integrity issues
o Train, coach and mentor staff in well integrity
Criteria & qualifications
o Detailed knowledge & experience of well integrity engineering & operations
o A proven ability to coach, train and mentor staff.
o Strong team player and ability in a similar role.
o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
o Educated to at least first degree level in an engineering or related discipline.
o Knowledge of well service contracts.
o IWCF Well Control certified or equivalent.
o Experience working in a remote location in a multicultural environment is preferred.
o Flexible approach to work
Travel Required
28/28 Rotational position in Basra, Iraq. Additionally, there will be requirements to travel to UK approximately once a year and other partner/supplier meetings in China, Dubai and Amman on a regular basis.
