Supervision:
* Direct, supervise and review engineering work
Leadership
* Provide coaching and mentoring for Drilling and Completions Engineers
Reporting:
* Review well site data to verify that correct data is recorded, in order to create a high quality well site database for performance planning and evaluation.
* Assist in compiling reports on work carried out ensuring that all formal reporting is in accordance with company standards and statutory requirements
* Performance reporting [Time and Cost]
* Compile end of well reviews, ensuring that important lessons learned are discussed with the Senior Well Engineer for inclusion in the controlling documentation
Team Work:
* Deputise as required for Development Drilling Manager
* Work offshore as required as the Well-site Drilling Engineer.
* Provide assistance to the Well site Drilling Engineer
Role Authority Level
Qualifications:
* Tertiary Engineering Qualification
Skills and Experience requirements:
* Minimum 15 years experience in Oil and Gas Drilling Industry
* Extensive experience in coordinating and compiling well programmes
* Suite of drilling engineering capabilities: casing design, drilling fluid selection, hydraulics, bits and drilling assembly selection, directional drilling planning, casing and cementing operations.
* Experience in preparing options for well designs
* Project Management experience
* Leadership experience in managing staff
* High level of interpersonal and communications skills
* Proven teamwork skills
