Senior Drilling Engineer

• Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Petroleum, Mining Engineering or equivalent
• Certifications & training
• Industry training in drilling technology and HSE
• Current IWCF certificate, supervisory sub-sea level, and HUE
• Professional Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years oil and gas drilling experience with an operating company, with a combination of onshore and offshore floating drilling an advantage

Requirement of technical competency:
Technical competency requirements are laid down in the job competence profile (JCP). The main competency elements can be summarized as follows:

• Formation instability while drilling - characterizing geology/formation pressure and fracture gradient prediction
• Offset analysis for problem identification
• Directional program (including horizontal and high angle program / multi-lateral program)
• Drilling fluid and solids control system selection
• Bit program, hydraulics, drilling mechanics / drillstring design
• Wellhead and casing design and selection
• Cementing program design
• Performance optimization
• Supplier management and materials procurement
• Third party services contracting
• Logistics management and operations
• SSHE management for drilling
• SSHE for drilling operations (onshore & offshore)
