Job Description:
An International Oil & Gas Company is seeking to recruit Drilling HSE Advisor for their Kurdistan (Iraq) Operations.

Purpose:

Monitor implementation of Drilling Project HSE Plans and Programs. Work closely with all Contractors and provide HSE support and guidance.Carry out audit and inspections of Contractors, and their adherence to HSE contractual obligations. Ensure that all accidents are investigated and the findings communicated and that there is a regular follow up on corrective action items

responsibilities:

Promotion of HSSE through personal leadership and active participation  
Assist Company Man in implementing, monitoring and review of Company HSSE Objectives, Plans and Balance Score Card  
Plan, advice, and assist, line management in conducting HSSE audits/inspections including HSSE Management System audit, Environmental Management System audit, planned audits etc. and follow up for the implementation of recommendations.  
Monitor the implementation of the requirements of the ESIA Study  
Participate in the investigations of incidents and accidents, advice and assist line management in writing reports, analysis of root cause and follow up for the implementation of recommendations.  
Arrange, participate and support line management in HSSE meetings and other forums to influence change for continual improvement in HSSE performance.  
Collect, record, update and circulate HSSE related data from/to different contractors with in the company for trend analysis and strategy development related to HSSE issues.  
Ensure that an emergency response plan based on the risk that potentially impact the business and providing periodic scenario exercises to verify the effectiveness of such plans  
Ensure that periodic drills are carried out  
Monitor and audit, that an effective permit to work system is implemented which control/minimize the potential hazards of all activities at processing facility and well sites.  
Ensure that all requirements as per Bridging Document are implemented  
Ensure that Company HSSE Management System requirements are communicated and implemented  
Monitoring the implementation of the Contractor's Project HSSE Plan  
Ensure that HSSE performance data is effectively collected, stored, analysed, tracked and reported  
Ensure that safety tool box meetings are held and records kept  
Ensure that a centralized Action Tracking Register is developed and maintained

Requirements:

Relevant graduate qualification BSc: Engineering /Technical degree  
8-10 years working experience with at least 5 years experience of Health, Safety & Environmental Management in Drilling, Oil & Gas industry.  
Experience in H2S operations is an advantage  
Experience in Oil and Gas Field Environment  
Understanding of HSSE Management System  
Clear understanding of project HSE Plans, KPI's and performance reviews  
Knowledge of ISO 9000, EMS 14000 norm series and conversant with auditing  
Good presentation & communication skills  
Computer literacy, including the full suite of MS Office  
Fluent in English language
