Marine Piping Engineer (Ship Systems) ~ Houston, TX

• We are seeking a Marine / Mechanical Engineer to work in the Ship Systems Group.
• Ship Systems Engineers perform detailed engineering plan review and failure analysis of shipboard piping and electrical systems for compliance with applicable Rules, regulations and contractual requirements.
• This position performs work which involves conventional engineering practices and as well as the resolution of complex issues related to conflicting design requirements, material standards, and coordination of multidisciplinary activities.
• Equipment Engineers work closely with Surveyors and clients on specific vessel mechanical requirements and projects.

Job Requirements:

• Applicant should possess a BS degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture with experience in ship equipment design and/or maintenance.
• Shipyard or operational maritime experience in an engineering capacity is highly desired.
• This position requires an understanding of Rules, Regulations, etc.
• Applicants should have excellent problem solving and customer service skills, as well as the ability to communicate professionally in English across a variety of technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Applicant must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent US Resident due to US government security requirements.
