Job Description:
Position Title:  Reservoir Engineer Team Lead Europe

Reporting Relationships: This position will report to the Director Exploitation Europe.

This position will manage the team of European Reservoir Engineers located in France supporting existing development, production and production enhancement opportunities through depletion planning, technical evaluation and opportunity identification for the European and international assets.  Liaising across the other technical disciplines, the key objective is to improve overall performance of the existing portfolio and build asset value, utilising reservoir management to maximise oil and gas recovery.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and HSE leadership to the team ensuring all team members continue to meet their objectives in a timely and effective manner;
• Ensure team member roles and responsibilities are clearly outlined and understood;
• Identify resource constraints and source additional help when necessary through the recruitment for contract and permanent positions;
• Act as the prime contact for the Engineering team with other groups
• Support the European capital budget process;
• Identify and monitor annual opportunities and priorities for the capital budget;
• Identify opportunities for Operating and Capital cost improvements;
• Ensure all projects have appropriate approvals in place for execution;
• Track capital spend, communicate KPI's and recommend changes/adjustments;
• Monitor team and area work progress and performance with the Director, Exploitation Europe;
• Champion team communication and recognition activities.
• Conduct annual performance reviews for the Exploitation / Reservoir Engineering group in Europe.



• Participate in the company Health, Safety and Environmental program;
• Provide exploitation mentorship for European asset development program, directly mentoring engineers in:
Providing estimation and evaluation of drilling opportunities and workovers including productivity, reserves, costs, timing and risk value determination; Annual opportunity identification and prioritization along with organization of capital budget.
• Champion corporate reserve booking process, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the corporate reserves across the company's asset base in Europe and elsewhere;
• Provide estimation and evaluation of drilling opportunities including productivity, reserves, costs, timing and risk value determination;
• Provide recommendations on the completion of new wells and liaising with the production team to recommend production facilities expansion.
• Identify opportunities for OPEX and Capital cost improvements;
• Ensure all projects have appropriate approvals in place for execution;
• Apply oil and gas asset evaluation experience to the evaluation of acquisition and divestiture opportunities and the preparation of the associated business proposals including economic evaluations - incorporating an understanding of taxes, royalties, joint venture deal terms and other related considerations;
• Assess potential and recommend bidding on lands posted in upcoming area land sales; assess expiring lands recommending  lease/title extensions as required and recommend lands for farm-out, where appropriate;
• Conduct presentations to management, partners, and government bodies as required;
• Evaluate other opportunities in the general fairway, bring forward commercial opportunities for discussion;
• Initiate, monitor and optimize the depletion strategies of the assets;
• Optimize tie-in routes, gathering systems, compression, dehydration and other facilities;
