Job Duties and Responsibilities
Receives/acknowledges receipt of and review customer' RFP/RFQ's. Through Sales, clarifies customer requirement and identifies any options and/or exceptions in proposal. Prepares written or verbal quotations/proposals. Maintains metrics and required proposal/sales information within online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Modifies and/or updates existing proposals at Sales/Customers' request. Plans proposal preparation and changes. Ensures timely delivery of high-quality proposals.
Provides continuous support to Sales and Project Managers concerning customer requests. Educates the customer in the product line. Communicates with the customer describing equipment, pricing, delivery and status of proposals.
Works directly with Sales, Project Management and Proposal group in organizing, developing content and presenting the scope-of work, in detail, for a Handover Meeting to all functional departments after project award. This includes the successful transfer of all documentation (including correspondence) to all functional departments.
Assists in the development and implementation of strategic proposal/sales plans. Assists in sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals.
Undertakes periodic domestic and international travel as required. Port Area Security clearance required.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree; Project Management, Technical Management, or Engineering discipline desired. A minimum three (3) years experience in Sales, Proposals, Production Planning or related manufacturing experience is required. Experience with technical documentation and /or developing tenders with inside sales organization is a plus. Experience with operators, equipment providers, EPIC contractors to the Oil and Gas Industry advantageous.
Additional information
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and Primavera. Candidate must be proficient in PLM/ERP Systems (Enovia/PeopleSoft), and Acrobat Adobe. Adobe Frame Maker knowledge is desired.
Must have a working knowledge of advanced authoring and publishing tools. Must be familiar with umbilical systems or related subsea field equipment/systems. Familiarity with formal engineering practices or manufacturing processes is desired. A Good working knowledge of tendering practices and Oil and Gas equipment contracts is needed. Basic knowledge of personal selling and business negotiation a must. Familiarity with CI methodologies (Lean-Six Sigma, TQM, Quality Transformation) is required.
