Geologist - GoM

The description for this position is as follows:

• This is an entry level position in our Geological Operations group. The Geologist will provide geological, geophysical and reservoir well operations support for all Exploration, Exploitation, Appraisal and Development wells in the Gulf of Mexico.
• The Geologist will work closely with the Sr. Staff Operations Geologist and Sr. Staff Petrophysicist to effectively implement the formation evaluation programs for all Exploration, Exploitation, Appraisal and Development wells.
• The Geologist will also work closely with the Drilling Manager to ensure pre-drill well plans are routinely updated and information effectively communicated to ensure all wells are safely and efficiently drilled.
• The Geologist will be mentored by the Sr. Staff Well Opeartions Geologist.

The requirements for this position are as follows:

• Experience at a major oil company.
• Previous experience working the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Unix Landmark Workstations.
• The candidate will have a minimum of a BSC, preferably a MSc in Geology.
• Preparing prospects for drilling.
• Assist team in generating management presentations.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
