Major Operator seeks to recruit a Technical Safety Engineer with experience of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques. This role is based in Aberdeen and is offered on a Contract basis.
The post holder will be responsible for applying the HSEQ Management Systems as appropriate to the relevant area of the business, providing safety engineering advice ensuring that risks to personnel are reduced to a level that is as low as reasonably possible, provide input to and in cases facilitate to chair HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies and act as a Technical Authority for the Management of Safety Critical Elements and performance standards.
The role will also be responsible for leading members if the project group in executing engineering hazard management and formal safety assessment tasks in support of field projects, medium/small engineering modifications and consultancy studies, ensuring that Safety Cases are prepared, developed and maintained to a consistently high standard and that they remain current and reflect good industry practice.
You should have a degree and be familiar with hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
